There are some mornings that quietly remind you what really matters. People giving up their time, wrapping up warm, and coming together simply to do something kind. Chatsbrook’s annual Santa Run was one of those mornings.
Setting off from Ketteringham Hall, the former home of the Norfolk Lotus Formula One team headquarters, a festive convoy made its way through Norfolk with one clear destination in mind: The Nook Hospice in Norwich. The aim was simple, to bring excitement, smiles and moments of joy to the children and families spending time there.
Ketteringham Hall provided the perfect starting point. With its strong motorsport heritage, as the former home of the Norfolk Lotus Formula One team headquarters and now the office of Chatsbrook, it felt fitting that a charity run centred around cars would begin there.
Leading the convoy was the Chatsbrook Defender, driven by Adrian Brooks, Director of Chatsbrook, towing a Santa sleigh that instantly set the tone for the morning. Riding in the sleigh was Mark Juniper, local Business Development Manager and Events Manager, fully embracing his role as Santa. Alongside him was Amy Chick, Chatsbrook’s Events Manager, dressed as an elf and helping bring the festive spirit to life.
From the outset, it felt like people coming together with a shared purpose. Engines started, festive outfits were adjusted, and before long the convoy was on its way.
This was no ordinary drive through the Norfolk countryside. Following the sleigh was a striking line-up of supercars and classics that caught attention wherever they went.
The convoy included a Ferrari F8, Porsche Cayman, McLaren 570S, Porsche Carrera, Lotus Evora, Lamborghini Gallardo, Alfa Romeo 4C, a classic Buick Riviera. Cars you might expect to see at a showroom or special event, not travelling together behind Santa’s sleigh.
Many of the vehicles taking part reflect the kinds of specialist and high-performance cars Chatsbrook regularly supports through its vehicle finance solutions, helping individuals and businesses access vehicles that matter to them.
The convoy’s destination was The Nook Hospice, located on Pigot Lane in Norwich. The Nook is the newest and largest of EACH’s three hospices, purpose built to support babies, children and young people with life-threatening conditions across East Anglia, as well as their families.
For families across Norwich, Norfolk and the wider East Anglia region, The Nook provides a place of care, understanding and calm during some of the most challenging times they will ever face.
The hospice offers seven bedrooms for children and young people, accommodation for families to stay overnight, and facilities including a sensory room, hydrotherapy pool, therapy spaces, play areas and outdoor space where children can explore safely.
As the convoy arrived, excitement spread quickly. Santa and the elf stepped out to greet the children, who were eager to see what had arrived just for them. It wasn’t simply a visit. It felt like something thoughtful had been brought directly to them.
One of the most special parts of the morning was how involved the children were. They weren’t watching from a distance. They were invited to sit inside the cars, explore them and enjoy the experience up close.
For some, it was the first time they had ever sat in a supercar. For others, it was simply the joy of doing something different. Parents took photos, smiles appeared everywhere, and moments were created that families will remember long after the day itself.
There’s something about cars that captures the imagination, especially for children. Bright colours, unusual shapes and the sense of adventure they represent make supercars feel larger than life.
For children spending time in a hospice, experiences like this offer a welcome sense of escape. Sitting in a Ferrari or a Lamborghini isn’t about speed or performance figures. It’s about excitement, curiosity and being part of something special, even if just for a moment.
The Chatsbrook Santa Run isn’t about grand gestures. It’s about people showing up and using what they have to bring happiness where it’s needed.
It’s also something Chatsbrook plans for every year. The Santa Run is always part of the events calendar, built into a wider approach to supporting local communities rather than treated as a one-off.
For Amy Chick, Events Manager at Chatsbrook, the meaning of the day is clear.
“Out of all the events we do, this is my favourite. It brings so many smiles to so many faces, not just the children at the hospice but everyone involved. If we can turn up with a few cars, make children smile and give families a really nice day, then it’s all worth it.”
Events like this don’t happen without people giving their time and energy. Adrian Brooks, Amy Chick and Mark Juniper all played key roles on the day, supported by drivers who volunteered their vehicles and the wider Chatsbrook team working behind the scenes.
The warm welcome from The Nook Hospice staff helped ensure the morning felt calm, relaxed and enjoyable for everyone involved.
As Christmas approaches each year, the Santa Run remains firmly embedded in the Chatsbrook calendar. Led from the top by Director Adrian Brooks, the focus is on consistency, showing up for the community year after year, not just when it’s convenient.
For Chatsbrook, supporting events like the Santa Run reflects a wider belief that community involvement should be ongoing rather than occasional.
A heartfelt thank you goes to everyone involved in making the Chatsbrook Santa Run possible, and most importantly to the children and families who shared the day.
Chatsbrook is proud to support local charities and community initiatives, and the Santa Run is a reminder of what can happen when people come together for the right reasons.

Can specialist and high-performance vehicles be financed?
Yes. Specialist and high-performance vehicles such as supercars, classic cars and prestige models can often be financed when structured correctly. Chatsbrook provides tailored solutions through its vehicle finance offering, supporting both private individuals and businesses looking to finance specialist vehicles.
What is the difference between vehicle finance and asset finance?
Vehicle finance is focused specifically on cars and specialist vehicles, while asset finance covers a wider range of business-critical equipment and assets. This can include machinery, technology, plant and other high-value assets that support day-to-day operations or long-term growth. Chatsbrook’s asset finance solutions are designed to help businesses access the assets they need while managing cash flow effectively.
Is finance available to businesses and individuals?
Yes. Chatsbrook supports both private individuals and businesses. Yes. Chatsbrook regularly supports financing through dealerships, asset companies and specialist suppliers, working closely with partners to structure suitable funding solutions.
