Supporting Norfolk & Norwich Hospitals Charity

Pulling together in times of need has never been so critical. As a feeling of uncertainty persists, Chatsbrook wanted to action something special in order to support the local community.

Our first approach was to donate our beloved MINI to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital Charity (NNUH) in order to support the NHS Volunteer Scheme. From the offset, the MINI has proved integral to the delivery of chemotherapy to the oncology patients at the Spire Hospital, Norwich. Every day it is used it is helping on average 50 patients!

Mary Ewin, Sister at the Weybourne Day Unit stated “The car and volunteer team are essential to maintain our cancer treatment services. We would not have been able to relocate from the NNUH without adequate transportation of chemotherapy drugs. The generous donation of a car has helped to protect our patients and allows them to continue important treatment. We are extremely grateful for the donation.”

This image shows Troy Smith- Settle in Service Volunteer Co-Ordinator for the NNUH- using the Chatsbrook MINI to deliver essential medication.

The Chatsbrook MINI is still being used by NNUH volunteers and will continue to be used until it is no longer required.

Having remained in touch with the volunteers and staff at NNUH Charity, we have come to understand their hard work in greater detail. Having gained this insight Chatsbrook are both impressed and grateful for the critical service they deliver in Norwich and its surrounding areas.

As a token of our appreciation for the continued efforts of key healthcare workers, Chatsbrook decided to launch a campaign on Easter Monday to raise further funds towards this incredible charity.

Within eight days, ‘Donate the Cost of An Easter Egg’ reached the 73% mark of its £1000 target! We are overwhelmed with the amount of support we have received so far and are proud that this money will go towards a brilliant cause. To help us meet our target, please donate the cost of an Easter egg to www.justgiving.com/fundraising/chatsbrook

As a way to spark further positivity and creativity, we are excited to reveal our ‘MINI Roof Competition’. Incorporating elements of our business as well as paying reference to the MINI’s newly acquired role supporting the NHS, the brief created is for designs to ‘capture the spirit of Chatsbrook’ and to include the NHS Rainbow.

The winner will see their design brought to life on the Chatsbrook MINI roof and feature in our #MINIAdventure posts on social media. They will also receive a T-shirt with their winning design.

Put your imagination to the test and enter our design challenge- you could be our next winner!

Most recently, we have received recognition from the EDP for our efforts to support this local charity. It is incredible to know that this charity and our support has resonated with the community.
